THE SAUCES
-
Three vegetable-packed, pre-proportioned sauces made from real ingredients that make the food you already love do a little more for you. Familiar food, working harder.
-
Yes — all three are nut-free and gluten-free.
-
No.
None of our sauces contain meat products. However, our Green Sauce contains Grana Padano (a parmesan-style cheese), which does contain an animal by-product enzyme.
None of our sauces are vegan. Each contains dairy (cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, Grana Padano, milk).
-
Both. Our sauces are built to make every plate better, not just to sneak vegetables past a four-year-old.
-
Different sauces coat differently. Pesto clings; marinara spreads; cheese needs a little more room to work. Each serving size is calibrated so you get the same sauce-to-pasta ratio across all three: no under-dressed noodles, no swimming in sauce.
HOW TO USE
-
The sauces can be thawed in a number of ways!
We like to run a frozen pack under hot water for a few seconds, snip and squeeze the sauce into your pan or a microwavable bowl, then warm it through on low heat on the stove or for about a minute and thirty seconds in the microwave. Alternatively, because our packs are BPA-free, they can also be added directly into the microwave.
Packs can also be left in the fridge or out on the counter to thaw overnight.
-
This is a hard question to answer because it will depend on how much sauce you like on your pasta, whether you are using the sauce as a side, or if you are adding it as a topping on a protein!
If you are adding the sauce on top of plain pasta, one pack should be more than enough for 1 to 2 adults or could very easily feed 2 to 3 kids.
-
If the pack has partially thawed (for example, during transport from the grocery store or on delivery) it can be refrozen. If the pack has been fully thawed, it can be stored in the fridge for up to three days before use.
-
The sauces keep for up to 12 months frozen. Once heated, treat it like any fresh sauce and enjoy within three days.
